What to Include on Your Christening Invitations
Your child's baptism is a very special moment in his or her life, so it is only natural that you would want to share this special day with your closest family members and friends. But, you may be uncertain when it comes to proper the proper etiquette of creating baptism invitations.
Just as with wedding invitations, all of the words on a baptism invitation should be spelled out completely. In addition, your baptism invitation should include all of the following information:
- When the baptism is taking place, including the day of the week, the date and the time
- The name of the church where the baptism will take place as well as the street address, city and state
- Information regarding the luncheon or dinner that will take place following the ceremony and where that get together will take place
- RSVP information, including the name and the phone number of the person to respond to as well as when the response is needed
Including a photo of the child being baptized is optional, though it certainly does add a personal touch to the invite. Of course, you will also want to include a religious symbol, such as a cross, or other graphics to your invitation as well.
